A.C.T.’s Young Conservatory Actors Ensemble presents

Twelfth Night

by William Shakespeare
Directed by Rebecca Ennals

Sat, April 6 at 2 p.m.
The Garret at A.C.T.’s Geary Theater

415 Geary Street

Join the YC Actors Ensemble this spring as they bring to life Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Each semester, the YC Actors Ensemble focuses on a particular genre or playwright under the guidance of a master artist. This spring, we welcome Rebecca Ennals, Artistic Director of San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, to lead the ensemble in a condensed 45-minute version of Twelfth Night.

This Shakespeare project will emphasize making story and character choices based on Shakespeare’s language and the wonderful clues embedded in those words. The wonderful verse, balance of humor and tragedy and themes around gender will be investigated and then brought to life in a “bare bones” presentation in the Garret intimate performance space at A.C.T.’s Geary Theater that celebrates the spirit of Shakespeare’s focus on acting and text.

Please note: This production contains mature themes, including: references to sexual assault, brief moments of graphic violence, and underage alcohol use. This production is recommended for grades 9+.
